What are the different candidate statuses?

When new referrals come in, they move through several phases. Each phase has its own status. These statuses appear on your ambassadors' dashboards, so be sure to keep them up-to-date.

Every referral in Staffing Referrals is assigned a status. New candidates who have filled out all of the required information are assigned the status "Follow Up," which means they're ready for you to reach out!

As candidates move through the interviewing and hiring process, be sure to change their status so that you and your ambassadors can see what is happening with their referrals. This is essential for transparency. It also helps build trust with your ambassadors so that they will continue to send you referrals.

Lead status definitions

  • Pending: Candidates who have not completed the required fields and have not been contacted
  • Follow Up: Candidates who have completed the required fields and are ready for you to contact them
  • Contacted: Candidates who have been contacted
  • Placed: Candidates who have been placed
  • Awaiting payment approval: Candidates who have met the requirements for bonus payouts
  • Paid: The referral bonus has been paid
  • Ineligible: Candidates who are ineligible for the position
You will not receive notifications for pending leads. These applicants will receive a series of automated messages reminding them to finish their application. Once the qualification process is complete, these leads will be moved to "Follow Up" and you will receive a notification that they're ready for you to reach out.
